Warranty Drone Repairs
What Is Covered By Warranty?
All drone components are covered under DJI warranty, apart from propellers and dampers, as these are classed as wear and tear parts. Please note that heliguy™ can only conduct warranty repairs on DJI equipment purchased from us.
Warranty covers you for a range of repair scenarios, such as:
Drone loses functionality after software update.
Drone started to develop cracks around screws.
On-screen error, covered by warranty subject to diagnosis call.
Drone not following RC commands and crashed, covered subject to data analysis.
However, the following scenarios are not covered by warranty.
Drone was in a no-fly zone.
All obstacle avoidance features were deactivated.
Drone flown when battery was low and there were warnings to land.
How Long Is DJI Drone Warranty?
heliguy™ offers a one-year warranty period, starting from the date of purchase with us. In this scenario, we cover postage, inspection, labour, and repair.
We also honour DJI’s warranty of 24 months from the date of activation for drones, and 12 months on batteries. If purchased from us, we cover the processing fees.
If the equipment has not been purchased from us, you will need to pay a £57.50 processing fee (including delivery and collection).
If the unit has not been activated, you will need proof of purchase showing the unit is still within the manufacturer’s warranty window.
What Is The Warranty Repair Process?
Use our online ticketing system to book a warranty repair.
If the drone is under warranty, we will issue a pre-paid postage label. However, if it is not covered by warranty or the equipment has not been purchased from us, you will be charged for collection and return. Or choose your own courier.
Our in-house technicians will conduct an inspection, and then a repair once you have authorised us to do so.
The majority of repairs will be undertaken in-house, but on occasion, we will need to send the equipment to DJI’s European service centre in The Netherlands.
In-house repairs are carried out using only genuine original parts from DJI. Replaced parts come with a 6-month warranty.
How Long Do Warranty Repairs Take?
We aim to complete in-house warranty repairs between 5 and 7 working days. It can take up to three weeks if the equipment is shipped to DJI’s European service centre.
