What Is Covered By Repair Refresh?
heliguy™ Repair Refresh covers the following scenarios:
Accidental damage
Pilot error
Water damage
Damaged during transit
Damaged on holiday (free shipping for your Repair Refresh claim only applies when claiming from the UK).
heliguy™ Repair Refresh does not cover lost or stolen equipment. heliguy™ suggests contacting your insurance company for this kind of cover. Repair Refresh is not a substitute for drone insurance. If a drone suffers a crash, and flight logs show that the pilot's stick manoeuvres indicate an intentional or reckless crash, then cover will not be valid.
Policy Details
Repair Refresh entitles you to one repair or replacement within a one-year period. It must be purchased within 7 days of receipt of the corresponding piece of equipment.
This cover automatically expires upon a successful claim. It cannot be renewed.
Each Repair Refresh policy covers the one piece of equipment it is logged against. If you have a detachable item, such as a payload, please purchase a separate Repair Refresh policy. Repair Refresh can be purchased up to five days after the receipt of your drone from heliguy™. It can only be applied to equipment purchased from heliguy™. Repair Refresh is available to people outside of the UK, but international shipping is not included in the cover.
How To Make A Repair Refresh Claim
Book a claim ticket: Use our online ticket system or contact us via phone (0191 296 1024) or email (info@heliguy.com).
Send us your equipment: We'll send you a pre-paid postage label within 48 hours to cover your courier postage. Arrange a time that’s convenient for you for the equipment to be collected by the courier. Free shipping only applies to the UK mainland, so international shipping must be paid at the rate provided at point of claim.
Equipment assessed by the technical team: Once received, our DJI-approved technicians will evaluate your equipment to see whether it can be repaired or if a replacement is required. We will not send out a loan aircraft in the meantime. If you’re interested in a policy that includes instant loan drones to ensure service continuity, contact us.
Repaired or replaced: If possible, your aircraft will be repaired as per our standard repair process. If a replacement is required, we will locate an appropriate like-for-like model. Please note that only the damaged item will be replaced.
Drone flight tested: The technical team will complete a flight test to ensure functionality of your equipment.
Aircraft returned: Your aircraft will be returned to you via courier next-day delivery.
Is heliguy™ Repair Refresh The Same As DJI Care Refresh?
heliguy™ Repair Refresh is not the same as DJI Care Refresh, which is a separate crash cover policy.
Key differences include the service period, payment plans, and the number of replacements.
In general, heliguy™ Repair Refresh can be around 45% cheaper than Care Refresh.
