DroneControl Ecosystem 'supports every phase of drone operations'
DroneControl software has expanded. It is now a dedicated team and fleet management software, as well as offering live streaming and remote control.
DroneControl Ecosystem is an all-in-one software solution for commercial drone operations;
Ecosystem includes pilot, team, and fleet management, automatic flight logs, and a secure live-streaming app. The live-streaming app is also available separately;
DroneControl is compatible with a suite of DJI drones and offers third-party integrations;
Platform benefits public safety organisations as well as private enterprises;
heliguy™ is DroneControl's UK partner and can help organisations integrate it into their workflows.
"Our ecosystem now offers an integrated solution that supports every phase of drone operations: Before, during, and after flight.”
That’s the message from DroneControl CEO and founder Thomas Ingold, following a significant expansion to the Swiss-engineered software platform.
From what started out as an app to provide public safety teams with secure live streaming and remote drone control for enhanced incident response, has morphed into a powerful and comprehensive all-in-one solution.
Now, the dedicated flight app is complemented by a wider suite of features, integrating pilot, team, and fleet management, and supporting automated flight logging - all centralised via a dedicated dashboard.

It is a significant evolution for DroneControl, which already has 200+ public safety organisations on its books, is deployed globally, and has a strategic UK partnership with heliguy™.
And it is an update that is designed to meet the unique and increasingly complex requirements of drone programmes, across sectors such as public safety, security, and inspection.
“DroneControl is now a total drone software solution, comprising our secure flight application and web-based portal,” said Thomas.
“It brings an ecosystem that offers a comprehensive suite designed to empower pilots, streamline operations, minimise admin, and ensure the utmost security and regulatory compliance in drone management.”

Crucially, the platform has been created with flexibility in mind, offering third-party integrations and compatibility with clients’ existing workflows.
This includes compatibility with DJI Enterprise drones, such as the Matrice 4 Series (Matrice 4E/4T), Mavic 3 Enterprise and Mavic 3 Thermal, Matrice 30 Series, M350 RTK and M300 with RC Plus, as well as the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro (with RC-N1 or RC Pro 510).
“Integration is the future of public safety and the drone industry and our cutting-edge drone management solution offers exactly that,” said Thomas.
DroneControl Ecosystem: Key Features
So, what does the new DroneControl Ecosystem bring to the table?
Dashboard
First off, is a new centralised dashboard, providing quick access to essential information, such as flight flogs, equipment status, other key operational metrics, and real-time updates, including local NOTAM systems.

Pilot and Team Management
Comprehensive Pilot License and Certification Management: Keep all pilot licenses and certifications organised and up-to-date in one centralised system.
Digital Pilot Logbook: Simplify record-keeping with a secure, fully digital logbook for pilots.
Real-Time Flight Data Monitoring: Track and analyse flight performance and team activities to optimise operations.
Automated Notifications: Receive timely alerts for critical incidents and upcoming license expirations to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Centralised Equipment and Workflow Access: Store and access essential equipment information, operational manuals, and workflows in a single platform.

Firmware Management: Logs and monitors firmware updates to keep your fleet running efficiently. Upcoming Feature: Integrated hardware firmware update management for even greater control.
DroneControl FirstResponder Flight Application
The DroneControl flight app remains an integral component of the software package, and it can be purchased as a standalone option, independently of the wider ecosystem.
It offers:
Independent and Secure European Flight Application: A stand-alone platform that replaces native drone software, providing a high level of data security and operational independence.
Ultra-Low Latency Peer-to-Peer Streaming and Control: Ensures best-in-class secure streaming and remote control with a latency of under 200ms for seamless real-time operations.
User Interface Tailored for First Responders: Specifically designed for first responders, mirroring the key features and functionality of DJI Pilot 2 for familiarity and ease of use.
Secure Real-Time Video Streaming: Enables secure live streaming to a web-based platform, accessible to multiple remote viewers with integrated 2-way audio communication for enhanced coordination.
Full Remote Drone and Camera Control: Allows viewers to control drone and camera functions remotely, including zoom, mode switching, and dual-screen display options.
One-Click Sharing and Adaptive Controls: Simplifies collaboration with one-click sharing capabilities and customisable control settings.
Integrated Geolocation Tools: Features integration with what3words and Mapbox to provide precise postal address-based instant geolocation identification.
Fully Empowered Drone Operations
The DroneControl evolution has been driven by a single core mission: To make drone operations safer, simpler, and smarter.

And Thomas believes the new-look software suite does exactly that, bringing enhanced operational efficiency, improved calibration, and compliance.
He said: “By automating repetitive tasks and consolidating data, teams can focus on flying, rather than administration, while features like live streaming, remote camera control, and customisable dashboards foster better teamwork and decision-making.
“Security and safety is a crucial part of our ethos, and our secure European flight solution ensures compliance with stringent data protection standards, while built-in tools ensure adherence to regulatory standards, reducing the risk of non-compliance.”

And Matthew Cairns, public safety lead at heliguy™, agreed, saying that DroneControl’s enhanced offering addresses the unique challenges faced by drone programmes.
He said: “A growing number of enterprise and public safety organisations are experiencing the administrative inefficiencies and management burden associated with growing drone fleets.
“heliguy™ is pleased to be able to stand behind a fully-integrated drone and fleet management solution from DroneControl that solves a host of operational constraints simultaneously and is allowing end users to scale more easily.”
DroneControl: Future Updates Are Coming
The launch of the ecosystem is a seismic step for DroneControl. And further updates are planned to further evolve the platform.
Thomas said: “We have several new features coming soon. This includes a flight planning and risk-assessment tool, with the ability to automate pre-flight check lists and risk assessments.
“We also plan to introduce secure evidence uploading and storage, helping to guarantee the security and reliability of the evidence chain for legal and investigative purposes. This will include functionality to instantly upload video and photo assets to a secure portal or partner private servers, as well as pre-event video caching.”
DroneControl: Pricing
DroneControl operates on a licence-based pricing structure, with discounts available for plans with more drones and/or are longer in length. A free trial is also available.
